The Kentucky Department of Revenue has implemented tighter security measures in order to protect the identities of our taxpayers. Your return has been selected for identity confirmation, and your verification is required so that the department can continue processing your tax return.

To prevent someone else from using your identity on a false tax return, you need to complete a simple identity confirmation quiz as an additional level of protection. The short quiz should take no more than 5 minutes and will help us protect your refund and identity. The confirmation quiz is comprised of questions based on the information associated with the taxpayer listed on the letter.

If you have received a letter but have not filed your return:
